In May, 2004, the grade 5 students of Claireville Public School worked together to create a large, mixed media collage. Within this art project, each student contributed 1 brightly coloured star shape, each star as different as the young artists who created them. Each unique star was then added to the group project. The star shapes and space theme of the artwork are in keeping with the, highly successful grade 5 movie project entitled, “Celcius”. Also, each unique and vibrant star represents a single student who has passed through the doors of Claireville Public School and has touched the lives of others with their unique and colourful qualities. As the students venture into the world beyond the walls of Claireville Public School, they are to member that their bright colours have touched our lives.
