At Floradale Public School in Mississauga, students worked together to create a large, colourful mixed media collage. The theme of the mural celebrates the rich cultural diversities present in the school and community. The word “unity” is depicted several times in several different languages throughout the artwork. Strong symbolism is created through this choice of subject matter, illustrating the harmonious, multi-cultural atmosphere at Floradale Public School to which we all aspire.

Students each created their own colourful square that was added to the group project.

To complete the project students created geometric patterns.
