| School SPIRIT and school VALUES were emphasized and celebrated through the strong images and bright colours of two matching murals located in the gymnasium and library of Whitehorn Public School. Large letters above a mountain summit spell out "Soaring to the PEAK", an acronym that stands for "participation, effort, achievement and kindness". Whitehorn Public School has adopted these values as their school slogan and a unicorn as their school mascot. Matching images in both rooms create a feeling of well planned continuity. |

| Gymnasium: Larger than life images and bright colours create a feeling of strength and excitement. Colours were chosen that would complement existing elements such as gym mats. |

Library: The same powerful images and colours that were used in the gym were repeated in the library. The colour scheme was extended to include a variety of softer colours creating a more relaxed feeling that is appropriate for a quite library. |
