At Homestead Public School in Brampton a mural was painted for the foyer that welcomes students, staff, parents and visitors. In keeping with the "homestead" theme that is consistent throughout the school, the mural shows a farm house, a barn and rolling countryside in the distance. A child and farm-horse play in the cool shade of a lush forest as a tire swing that hangs above a running creek invites our imaginations to join the pair. The rich colours and ample depth in this mural will provide a fine setting for a fountain and planter that will soon be added to this corner of the foyer at Homestead Public School.
