The library and computer lab are adjacent to the foyer at Rowntree Public School and are joined visually with large windows. The mural painted in the foyer overflows into the library and computer lab, but with a variation on the theme. In the foyer there is farmland and Holstein cattle in celebration of the history of the area and the accomplishments of the Rowntree Family for which the school was named. The rolling hills continue in the library and computer lab, but now there are indigenous Canadian animals and trees, including the Silver Birch and Blue Spruce trees in honour of the popular reading programs named for these trees.
